Summer 2022 Collection
Over the past few months, we have worked on the development of the collection for the 2022 summer season with our usual finesse. Particularly the sports segment features extremely fashionable highlights – thanks to the use of carefully coordinated yarns and the dynamic look that both underline the lightness of the summer fabrics – with a fresh touch that are bound to impress. New fabrics with exciting designs make you look forward to creative shirts for the hot time of the year.
In the business segment – the most prestigious area of Getzner Textil’s “Shirting” business unit – high-quality business shirts have again been given special touches: this part of the collection is dominated by single- and two-ply as well as single yarn fabrics with elegant patterns. The special finishes range from “Dry & Fly”, the non-iron range with a top-performance finish in trendy colour combinations, to “Organic”, which includes the entire spectrum of possibilities on 100 percent organic cotton fabrics. The “Eco Soft” finish was developed especially for the “Organic” range: Getzner Textil does not use any synthetic resins, formaldehyde or silicones in the finishing processes for this organic cotton.
The trendy designs in the third and therefore last segment, “Urban City”, are characterised by a rich symbiosis of materials, weaves and colour combinations. The palette of plain colours emphasises the strong trend statement in a wide range of new fabrics and fully expresses the creativity that has gone into the highly fashionable shirting in this part of the collection.
The season’s motto: “Imagination”
For perfect formal, business, dress or city shirts, lively textures and micro-patterns are popular this season. Small patterns with dots, stylish brocade effects or fine stripes with exciting effects set refreshing accents. Pinstripes on a poplin basis or pinpoints as well as understated safari stripes with slub yarn add that certain something to fashionable city shirts. The colour palette ranges from soft natural shades to intensive multi-colours; the fabric base consists of linen, twill and also Oxford. Checks come in fresh colours, on a smooth basis or also with a crinkle-look – perfect for casual outfits. The summer classic seersucker impresses with clear, graphic patterns, charming prints as well as colourful patterns reminiscent of tartan.
Natural colour diversity
From light shades of blue and ocean colours and strong and bright shades inspired by traditional oriental fabrics to an intensive blue-black on tartan and check shirts – the colour palette is as diverse as nature. Our colour themes offer you an insight into the wide-ranging colour spectrum of our current summer collection.
We’re going digital!
As we already announced in the December newsletter, there have been numerous major changes in the digitalisation area this year. We have put every effort into the digitalisation of our collection, along with our entire offer, in order to thereby also develop our services further on the digital level. “The travel restrictions unfortunately made it impossible for us to visit our customers or partners last year. In order to make things as easy as we can for you, we have taken high resolution photographs of our 2021/22 collection,” says Gerhard Leitner, the head of the Shirting business unit. With the aid of the software “iTailor”, which we acquired expressly for our new showroom, and the software “Q3D”, we will be able to present our collection virtually from now on and can show what our high-quality fabrics will look like as a finished shirt. In future, it will be possible for you to apply your own shirt cuts so you can see straight away how our fabrics match your creations. In addition, it will also be possible for you to have customised collection cards compiled especially for you.
WE ARE GOING DIGITAL
And finally, we would of course also like to wish you all the best and hope that we will be able to welcome you at our stand at the “Munich Fabric Start” trade fair (2 to 4 March 2021). Stay healthy!
