Freight Forwarding

What do you learn?

During your apprenticeship, much of your work revolves around managing the movement of goods – from planning international transports to coordinating delivery schedules and shipping processes.

You will prepare freight and customs documents, request quotations, compare transport options and stay in contact with freight forwarders, suppliers and customers worldwide. Modern transport and inventory management systems will accompany you in your daily work.

Apprenticeship Duration and School

The apprenticeship as a freight forwarding agent lasts one year. It is an additional qualification completed in the fourth year of training, following the apprenticeship as a warehouse logistics specialist.
