At the beginning of the year, our apprentices from the fields of metal engineering and electrical engineering completed a project that brought not only colour but also a fresh spirit to the training workshop. Together with professional graffiti artist Fabian Hämmerle, they transformed the previously bare walls of the corridor and staircase into a vibrant graffiti artwork.

At Techtextil in Frankfurt from 21 to 24 April 2026, Getzner Textil AG will present high-performance fabrics for a wide range of specialised applications. Three own brands highlight the company’s textile innovation capabilities.

After a two-year construction period, the new production hall at the Bludenz headquarters of the Getzner Textil Group has been completed. At the end of the year, machinery and equipment were gradually integrated into ongoing production.

Eda Kurt moved from Cologne to Bludenz for love. But what began as a
decision of the heart proved to be a real success in terms of her career.
Four years on, Eda has successfully completed her apprenticeship and is
now a permanent member of the sales team in the ‘Technical Textiles’
Business Unit at Getzner Textil.

Under the motto “The future can do more – unlocking talent on stage”, Getzner Textil invited guests to its traditional New Year’s reception for apprentices on 22 January. Numerous guests, including the parents of the apprentices, enjoyed a three-course menu prepared by the apprentices themselves.

For 47 years, Arno Öttl has been making sure that everything runs smoothly at Getzner Textil – first as a fitter, and then in the fleet division and as a boiler operator. Now this versatile all-round employee is leaving the company to enjoy his well-earned retirement.

Acoustic textiles by acunic make rooms noticeably more pleasant. A compact starter set now enables interior decorators and interior architects to carry out mobile acoustic measurements directly at the client’s premises. Within just a few minutes, measurement results, product recommendations and a concrete quotation are available – simple, efficient and professional.

In Bolokoro, a village in the Sikasso region in southern Mali, the existing health centre has been expanded with the support of Getzner Textil to include a maternity ward. The new facility features modern sanitary installations, a reliable water supply and a solar-powered lighting system. This significantly improves healthcare for more than 44,000 people – particularly pregnant women, mothers and newborns in Bolokoro and the surrounding communities.

Alva’, ‘Halo’, and ‘Polar’ are three of the textiles that recently made their big appearance at A+A in Düsseldorf and are now on their way to interested customers as carefully packaged samples. They are presented in the form of high-quality tabs, handcrafted in the sampling department.

A 40-foot container loaded with medical donations and bandages traveled from Hamburg via Dakar to Bamako. The aid supplies were distributed to several health centers and two maternity wards in various regions of Mali, where they are making a valuable contribution to improving basic medical care.

The construction of a new basketball court in Dakar, Senegal, strengthens regional cohesion and creates new opportunities. The project was implemented by "Engineers Without Borders," with financial support from Getzner Textil.

In Bamako, the capital of Mali, numerous guests and celebrities celebrated the "Semaine du Boubou" – an event initiated and organised by renowned Malian designer Ikalook. Together with long-standing partner Baka Bathily, Getzner supported the event as its main sponsor.

For 20 years, Getzner Textil has been part of ECOPROFIT – the most widely adopted environmental and climate management system in Vorarlberg.

In April, apprentices from Getzner Textil AG swapped their tools for shovels and seedlings: on company-owned forest land in Nenzing, they planted 400 climate-resilient trees.
