The past year was not an easy one for Ersan. He spent five months on sick leave after an accident at work. However, with his positive attitude and sense of humour, he has become an integral part of the TFE Textil GmbH team.

Getzner Textil was awarded the 2024 National Prize for Family Friendliness, officially making it one of Austria's top employers for parents. Stefanie König knows firsthand what this means in practice: As a mother of two, she coordinates childcare and parental leave management at Getzner Textil.

Moctar Yara from Mali built a business in New York around 30 years ago. He sells fabrics for African fashion in Harlem, runs a wholesale business, and has an online shop – and now he’s returning to Africa.

Velorex - no, this is not a newly discovered species of dinosaur, but a vintage car and the hobby of Tomáš Holos, team leader in the piece dyeing department at Getzner Textil. In Bludenz, he provides an unusual sight on the streets with the motorised, three-wheeled vehicle - built in 1963.

In a company as large as Getzner Textil, there is always something to be modernised, renovated or expanded. One person who has been involved in many such major projects is Martin Zech. The joint history of Martin and Getzner Textil began over 25 years ago, ten years of which he was Head of Technical Services.

Silke Wachter was self-employed as a florist for 17 years, then swapped her business for a whole flock of children and now runs Getzner's childcare centres ‘Buntspechtle’ and ‘Buntstiftle’.

Sailing, hunting, skiing, biking, ... when Jonas Bemetz lists his hobbies, you might think his day has more than 24 hours. ‘I'm not made for lying down,’ admits the chemical engineering graduate. He has been working as team leader of the development centre at Getzner Textil for a year now - and is just the man for the job.

Michael Schranz is Head of the Safety, Environment and Energy Department at Getzner Textil. Both professionally and privately, conscious interaction and living with nature is important to him.

Getzner Textil AG is investing in the power of the sun at its Bludenz site: the first photovoltaic system was put into operation on the company roofs in November 2024. 

For one afternoon, Getzner Textil opened its training workshops to around 70 interested young people and their parents and presented the training opportunities in six apprenticeships.

Margot Pircher started her professional journey at Getzner Textil straight after secondary school and completed an apprenticeship as an office administrator. She then managed the warehouse and transport logistics department (then the invoicing department), which was of course much smaller at the time than it is today. The company has grown considerably since Margot started her career. However, what she still loves about the company is the family atmosphere.

Ankur Jaiswal moved from India to Vorarlberg over ten years ago. Today, he works in quality assurance at Getzner Textil and tells his personal story, which has a lot to do with appreciation and opportunities for development. How did it all begin? Getzner Textil's new employer branding campaign was launched at the beginning of September with the claim ‘Unfold your potential’. It is an invitation to develop yourself further and realise your potential. Marketing Manager Ulrike Kraler explains in an interview what makes the claim so authentic.

When Aliya Bitschnau is at work, sparks tend to fly. Literally. She was practically born with a talent for mechanical engineering from her father - and at Getzner Textil, her dream job came with a great working atmosphere and opportunities for development on top.

When the block school is about to start for the lab technician apprentices, minds are working hard in the study room. For two weeks, the apprentices prepare intensively for school. Everyone agrees: "Chemistry is really intense."

At "Duelli Hemden" in Satteins, customised shirts have been made from Getzner Textil fabrics for a hundred years. Owner Peter Duelli is the third generation to run the bespoke tailoring business. For him, two things are of particular value in the collaboration: value creation in the region and mutual appreciation.
