Getzner Textil at Techtextil

Getzner Textil presents innovations developed in-house

At Techtextil in Frankfurt from 20 to 24 April 2026, Getzner Textil AG will present high-performance fabrics for a wide range of specialised applications. Three own brands highlight the company’s textile innovation capabilities.

The focus of the trade fair presentation is on six fabrics that demonstrate Getzner Textil’s expertise in the field of technical textiles. The qualities range from ultra-light high-performance materials and multinorm fabrics to textile acoustic solutions. The own brands getzspace®, acunic® and GUARDIANTEX® represent three developments that underline the company’s expertise in different fields of application.

Three-dimensional functionality within the fabric

With the patented getzspace® technology, functional structures can be integrated directly into the textile surface. Pockets, reinforcements or other elements are created without additional making-up or seams and become part of the fabric during the weaving process. This results in particularly lightweight yet robust textiles that open up new possibilities for the design and functionality of modern protective clothing.

Textile acoustic solutions

The acoustic textiles under the acunic® brand combine aesthetic interior design with measurable performance. The fabrics achieve sound absorption of up to 90 per cent and noticeably and measurably reduce reverberation. Thanks to their textile structure, they can be flexibly integrated into a wide variety of room concepts – from wall and ceiling solutions to space-dividing elements.

Fabrics for tactical applications

Under the GUARDIANTEX® brand, Getzner Textil brings together highly developed specialist fabrics for personal protective equipment and tactical applications. The materials meet a wide range of requirements – from water-repellent or flame-retardant finishes to functions such as infrared remission or bacteriostatic properties. Within this product range, for example, the fabric ‘POLAR’ represents new possibilities in snow camouflage printing: for the first time, it has been possible to achieve the same high degree of whiteness on Cordura fabrics as on bleached cotton. This means the material meets even the most stringent requirements and expands the range of applications in the hunting and tactical sectors.

Technical specialist fabrics

In addition to the own brands, further fabrics for various technical applications will also be presented. These include ‘VELA’, an ultra-light high-performance fabric that is used, among other things, in ballooning. With ‘HALO’, Getzner Textil presents a multinorm fabric for protective and high-visibility clothing. It meets the requirements for high-visibility garments according to EN 20471 and at the same time protects against electrostatic charging. ‘ALVA’ is a durable functional fabric for outdoor and sportswear that combines elasticity with a high level of comfort of wear.

Tradition and innovation

For more than 200 years, Getzner Textil has stood for high-quality textile solutions. As a family business with production in Europe, Getzner combines many years of experience with state-of-the-art technology. Around 1,500 employees continuously work on further developing materials for a wide variety of applications – from protective and functional clothing to sports equipment and acoustic solutions. Energy-efficient processes and a consistent focus on conserving resources characterise production and underline the company’s ambition to develop textile innovations responsibly.
