Getzner brings colour to life
At the beginning of the year, our apprentices from the fields of metal engineering and electrical engineering completed a project that brought not only colour but also a fresh spirit to the training workshop. Together with professional graffiti artist Fabian Hämmerle, they transformed the previously bare walls of the corridor and staircase into a vibrant graffiti artwork.
From Workshop to Idea
The project got off to a flying start with a joint workshop. The apprentices exchanged views on what their apprenticeship at Getzner Textil means to them. This open dialogue gave rise to numerous creative approaches, which were then developed step by step.
One of the apprentices involved explains:
“What I particularly enjoyed about the graffiti project was the freedom to fully express our creativity. The exchange within the team during the brainstorming sessions and seeing our ideas gradually become reality were real highlights for me.”
Creative ideas take shape
Based on these ideas, the artist developed the appropriate graphic motifs. This was followed by the practical implementation: during the spraying sessions, the apprentices were able to grab a spray can themselves and actively contribute to the design – a step that was a particular highlight for many.
“The graffiti project was very interesting because it allowed me to work creatively. I was mainly involved in spraying, and the hands-on implementation was what I enjoyed most,” says one of the creative minds behind the project.
A project that leaves a lasting impression
In the end, the project delivered not only a new look for the training workshop, but also a shared sense of achievement. Seeing how many individual ideas gradually came together to form a cohesive work of art made the project particularly special for everyone involved.
“What I liked most was seeing how individual ideas ultimately turned into a shared piece of art,” says one apprentice from the project team.
The finished graffiti now gives the training workshop a vibrant, colourful character – and at the same time stands for creativity, teamwork and commitment in apprenticeship training at Getzner Textil.
