First Health Day at Getzner Textil
Experiencing, trying out and consciously improving health: at Getzner Textil AG’s first Health Day, numerous staff members took the opportunity to discover new activities, get actively involved and take away valuable insights for their everyday lives and work.
With a varied programme combining exercise, relaxation, preventative healthcare and safety, Getzner Textil brought health to life in a variety of ways. From yoga and autogenic training to eye and hearing tests, first-aid stations, fire-extinguisher training and a VR forklift simulator, staff were able to try out numerous activities for themselves. The programme was complemented by a smoothie and snack bar offering healthy snacks, as well as regional organisations which presented their activities and invited participants to get involved.
Gesundheit als Teil der Unternehmenskultur
At Getzner Textil, health is a top priority all year round. The range of services on offer includes regular workplace inspections by health and safety specialists and company doctors, as well as a bicycle leasing scheme, fresh fruit in the workplace and a psychological counselling service that supports staff with both work-related and personal issues. These measures are overseen and further developed by the health team, which is constantly addressing issues relating to workplace health promotion. “The Getzner Health Day is a visible sign of our appreciation for our employees. Anyone who contributes to the success of our company with dedication every day should also have the opportunity to engage with their own health and preventative care in an accessible, free and active way,” says Mike Ferlemann, Head of Human Resources.
Große Beteiligung und positive Rückmeldungen
“We wanted to show that health promotion has many facets and, above all, can be fun. We are particularly pleased that so many staff members took part in the activities, tried something new and got actively involved. The high level of participation and the positive feedback show that the Health Day struck exactly the right chord,” says Stefanie König from the health team.
