In an industrial company like Getzner Textil, maintenance plays a key role in ensuring both competitiveness and operational safety. As part of the project, processes were streamlined and digitized. Around 240 employees were trained to work with the new system.

The successful transition marks an important milestone in the family-owned company's over 200-year history. The goal of this transformation is to secure the long-term availability of equipment and machinery through optimized and digitized workflows. Going forward, building maintenance and infrastructure systems will also be managed via the new system.

At Getzner Textil, employees record maintenance processes directly on tablets.

Efficient and Future-Ready

"By introducing the SAP EAM module, we are making our maintenance processes more efficient and laying the foundation for further digital developments. This long-term project is currently one of our most strategically important initiatives to maintain and strengthen our competitiveness in the future," says Hannes Tschofen, CTO of Getzner Textil AG.
Angelika Fuß, Project Manager at Getzner Textil, adds: "The SAP implementation also enabled mobile working via tablets. Thanks to intuitively designed apps, recurring tasks such as routine maintenance and inspections can now be digitally documented directly at the machine."
With the SAP integration, the company is establishing the foundation for further projects on the path toward maintenance excellence – including, for example, integration with warehouse and materials management or the connection of subsidiaries to the EAM module.
