Expansion strengthens the Bludenz production site
After a two-year construction period, the new production hall at the Bludenz headquarters of the Getzner Textil Group has been completed. At the end of the year, machinery and equipment were gradually integrated into ongoing production.
New infrastructure for textile finishing
The new building, covering an area of 4,320 square metres, is used as a finishing facility for the treatment of woven fabrics and also accommodates offices, meeting rooms, logistics and storage areas. Construction work was carried out by the ARGE Jäger Bau and Nägele Hoch- und Tiefbau consortium.
“The construction phase proceeded according to plan. Our thanks go to everyone involved who delivered this project to a high standard and within the scheduled timeframe,” emphasises CTO Hannes Tschofen.
Moderate growth
The operational expansion made it possible to modernise the machinery without interrupting ongoing production. “The latest production systems are operated with maximum energy efficiency and therefore support our commitment to sustainable textile manufacturing. The expansion also enables moderate growth, allowing us to meet future customer requirements,” explains Tschofen.
Jürgen Kurz, Head of Electrical and Building Services Engineering, is equally pleased: “Working together with regional companies, we were able to implement a high-quality construction concept that integrates harmoniously into its surroundings. As part of the green space concept, this included the installation of a green roof.”

Investment in modern production technology
One of the most significant investment projects undertaken as part of the operational expansion is the installation of the new stenter frame. Over recent months, it has been gradually installed and commissioned. The modern infrastructure provides the foundation for continued stable operations as well as further efficiency gains.
“With this investment, we are enhancing quality and profitability while at the same time driving our technological development forward,” says Alexander Bitschnau, Head of Plant Engineering and Maintenance.
