New year reception of Getzner Textil AG
On Thursday, January 24, 2019, the apprentice team of the Vorarlberg family-owned company Getzner Textil invited to the traditional New Year's reception.
To celebrate the end of the successful 2018 apprenticeship year in a fitting manner and, as it were, to toast the new, numerous guests met last Thursday on the company premises of the textile company steeped in history in Bludenz for the annual New Year's reception. The parents of the young people were also on hand and took advantage of the relaxed atmosphere to exchange ideas with their respective trainers. For this special occasion, the motivated young professionals once again came up with something special: With a five-course menu prepared especially for the occasion under the guidance of Gordana Podgorac, Chef de Cuisine from Schlosshotel Dörflinger, the apprentices won the hearts - and palates - of everyone present.
„Apprentices worked out everything themselves"
Perrine Palombo, Head of Apprentice Management at Getzner Textil AG, explains: "From the shopping list to the correct calculation to the finished menu, our apprentices worked out and prepared all the associated activities themselves and then prepared the dishes. This is a very clear way of showing how complex projects and activities are carried out, which, due to the large number of tasks and interfaces, are often very difficult for the individual to understand. By means of this approach, an understandable implementation for the job or private life is generated."
Lecture by EU youth ambassador Ali Mahlodji
One of the highlights of the successful New Year's reception was the likeable appearance of the multi-talented Ali Mahlodji, who has made an international name for himself as an entrepreneur, EU Youth Ambassador for Life, keynote speaker, author and founder of "whatchado", among other things. As an important link between the EU Commission and youth, the 37-year-old Viennese with Persian roots knows exactly what needs and wishes young people have. The inspiring lecture, in which he revealed a lot about his personal career and his own experiences, was therefore also extremely well received by the Getzner apprentices.
„Best possible conditions for training and development"
For many years, Getzner Textil has attached enormous importance to the optimal promotion of prospective skilled workers and the high quality of training. "In close cooperation with our subsidiaries, we are constantly developing, generating innovative, contemporary concepts and mobilizing important resources in order to be able to offer our employees of the future the best possible conditions for their training and development. In view of the acute shortage of skilled workers in the textile industry, it is very important to us as a company to take special measures," says Roland Comploj, CEO of Getzner Textil AG.
