The stage is set for the talents of Getzner Textil
Under the motto “The future can do more – unlocking talent on stage”, Getzner Textil invited guests to its traditional New Year’s reception for apprentices on 22 January. Numerous guests, including the parents of the apprentices, enjoyed a three-course menu prepared by the apprentices themselves.
The focus of the event was on the young talents of Getzner Textil – presented in a very special way: the apprentices independently designed the entire evening. Under the guidance of Daniel Mostögl, head chef at Restaurant Löwen, they prepared and served a three-course menu and, for the first time, also took responsibility for the complete supporting program as well as the moderation of the evening.
Young talents in the spotlight
On stage, the apprentices impressively demonstrated the diversity of their interests and skills. The audience enjoyed contributions from photography, baking, and music – ranging from piano performances to creative sports videos. A particular highlight was the presentation of current apprentice projects, offering insights into the innovative spirit and teamwork of the young talents. The apprentices also showcased their humor and creativity with a self-developed sketch entitled “Schnupperchaos at Getzner Textil” as well as a rap performance.
Create room for growth
"The New Year’s reception clearly demonstrates what sustainable talent development means,” emphasised Perrine Getzner, Head of People Development. “It is not solely about programmes or concepts, but above all about trust in young people, shared responsibility at eye level, and creating spaces where learning, asking questions and personal development are possible.”
CFO Martin Frick also underlined the importance of this approach: “Investing in young talent is an investment in the future of our company. When apprentices are given responsibility at an early stage and are able to contribute their strengths, this fosters not only professional competence but also a sense of identification and entrepreneurial thinking – both of which are crucial for long-term success.”
An Evening dedicated to dialogue and perspectives
As part of the event, the company’s management took the opportunity to provide the parents in attendance with a review of the past apprenticeship year as well as an outlook on upcoming priorities. In addition to the trainers, members of the management board of Getzner Textil AG and the Managing Director of Getzner Holding, Markus Comploj, were also present that evening. The company furthermore welcomed Regional Councillor Marco Tittler as an honorary guest, along with representatives of the vocational school and the polytechnic school.
