Environmental certifications

Evidence of our efforts

Certifications prove our high environmental standards and make our actions transparent.

Apart from the demanding legal requirements, Getzner Textil AG, headquartered in Austria, meets the strict requirements of bluesign® and OEKO-TEX® at product level and operates a certified energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 as well as a long-standing ECOPROFIT® certification for the Bludenz site.

bluesign®

The bluesign® system means adopting a comprehensive approach, the aim of which is to reduce the environmental impact along the length of the textile supply chain.

To receive a bluesign® certificate, the fibres, chemicals, additives and dyes we use must meet the stringent bluesign® criteria. We are proud of the fact that we have received individual certificates for our shirt fabrics, African clothing damasks and corporate apparel since 2006.

Energy Efficiency Network

The participating companies in the Energy Efficiency Network implement organisational and investment measures to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions. We have helped to ensure that the targets set for the first network in Vorarlberg have even been exceeded.

Made in Green by OEKO-TEX®

"Made in Green" is an independent textile label used to identify consumer products and semi-finished products from all stages of the textile chain that have been produced from materials tested for harmful substances using environmentally friendly, sustainable processes and under safe and socially responsible working conditions.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

The “OEKO-TEX® Standard 100” is a globally standardized review and certification system for textile resources, semi-finished and finished products in all processing phases. Its objective is a total absence of pollutants. All non-textile components in the finishing process are checked as well.

Ökoprofit®

Within the framework of ÖKOPROFIT®, a process-oriented environmental management system is developed and resource efficiency measures are implemented. For certification as an ECOPROFIT company, an environmental report has been prepared and implemented annually since 2005 according to specified criteria.

OEKO-TEX® STeP

The STeP certification (Sustainable Textile Production) supports us in the modular analysis of all relevant company areas. These include chemical, environmental and quality management, environmental performance, social responsibility and occupational safety. STeP helps us specifically in the continuous improvement of production conditions.

Climate-active

"Energy-efficient companies" is a climate protection initiative of the Ministry of the Environment in which manufacturing companies are supported in planning and implementing energy efficiency measures. As part of a klimaaktiv symposium, we were awarded the klimaaktiv certificate several times for our commitment.
