ZuG - from a Mega Trend to New Business

Trends in strategically important industries show the way to future market needs. Based on the core competencies of the different Getzner subsidiaries and these market needs, existing technology is used to create new products. The ZuG project uses the visualized search field approach:

After having analysed the global mega and industry trends and having conducted numerous interviews about current market needs, the Innovation Department is currently steeped in the topic of “acoustics”.

It is preparing market analyses, learning new terms, defining target groups, analysing sales structures, and identifying market entry barriers.

It is also attending events and trade shows to discuss current products, problems, and in particular new market requirements with experienced stakeholders.

What matters most of all, however, is collecting new product ideals and impulses from the markets for interior decorating as we have defined.

To this purpose, we organized workshops with external acoustic experts and held an internal idea competition with employees from the Getzner groups Textiles and Materials in order to give all participants the opportunity to offer their solution approaches, ideas, and experiences.

After another internal, as well as external, expert assessment, which was performed in particular with regard to market requirements, internal competencies, and innovation potential, we finally had some conceptual proposals that we want to address further in the future.

In the next few months, we will continue to be intensively involved in the creation of functional samples and develop a partner network.
